Cloaknote is built around local-first note taking. Core use of the app does not require an account, and your note content is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share, export, back up, or send information to us.

This policy applies to the Cloaknote mobile app, which may appear in-app as Note Studio, and to the public website at https://cloaknote.xyz.

Information We Handle

What the product needs in order to work.

Based on the current product behavior, Cloaknote does not require account registration, login, or mandatory cloud sync for its core note-taking experience.

The note content you type into the app.
The camouflage or simulated text used to present an ordinary-looking screen.
Local settings such as reveal controls, text-to-speech preferences, and appearance choices.
Support emails or bug reports that you voluntarily send to us.

How It Is Used

Local note data supports the editing experience.

Local note data is used to provide editing, storage, reopening, camouflage behavior, and reveal controls inside the app.

Support emails are used only to respond to questions, investigate bugs, and handle privacy or support requests.

We do not describe the app as selling note content or personal information.

Website hosting

Like most public websites, routine technical request data such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps may be processed by the hosting platform in order to serve pages and protect service integrity.

Retention and Security

What remains under your device and platform controls.

Local notes remain on the device until you delete them, clear app data, or remove the app. Support messages may be retained for support records, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.

Cloaknote is designed for visual discretion, not absolute secrecy.
If your device is unlocked, compromised, or backed up elsewhere, local data may still be accessible under those systems.
Platform speech services, share actions, and backup features may process data under their own rules when you choose to use them.
If future versions add analytics, cloud sync, or third-party services, this policy should be updated before those features ship.
